Alom presents a video clip from Becky Parker. In it she stress why it is important for us as humans to quest , to search for understanding. That the quest is a tradition, our heritage? Some would rank science as humanity’s greatest achievement and that we are almost bound to carry on? Your thoughts? In this segment Alom talks with teachers of science. In the UK and perhaps in Australia science is made relevant for students or rather they are treated as consumers of science. Some argue that we are not actually preparing or nurturing students as potential scientists.
