Please… why did Dan Barker think that comment was actually funny!
Besides, without Christianity, Atheists are nothing.
without believers, God is nothing, and this we atheists know only too well…
Without Christianity, Atheists are.. normal people.
My guess that some people other than himself might think it was a humorous observation/play on words, not quite shakespeare but still
.
Without Christianity there's just one less god for Atheists to not accept.
Dan's humour is rather cheesy; if you didn't like that, you might find Freethought Radio a struggle.
I think, though, that Dan does connect with a lot of the people that snarky atheists might not. We need a lot of diverse voices in atheism, even if the message is consistent; that's our strength.
Those who prefer less cheese and more snark have plenty of personalities out there speaking about atheism; I doubt they'll value atheism less merely because Dan is also on our side. Those who do find themselves identifying with Dan's position and humour can more easily divest themselves of religious delusion than without, so that's got to be a win.
The video doesn't play for me. I do wish these sites would make the video available for *download*; we're not all able to watch them while on the internet anyway.
Does anyone know of a download link for the video?
I was hunting around for a youtube version
Is there a video version, or does everyone only get audio?
The audio is now available for download at http://www.xt3.com/library/view.php?id=1855 with the direct links at http://www.xt3.com/podcasts/353.mp3 and http://www.xt3.com/podcasts/354.mp3 .
Thanks for the links
