If you live in Hobart, Australia you might be lucky enough to see the following advertisements on the side of Metro buses. How long do you think it will take for some thin skinned idiot to find something offensive in it – I mean come on, a whopping great double helix and the word atheist, positively pornographic.
In all seriousness the display of these ads is a victory that we should not have had to fight for. We live in what many regard as a stable, secular, democratic republic. I mean, really, they had Atheist bus signs in Rome before they had them here.
Congratulations to the AFA and those who contributed to the campaign.
Now, what’s the next battle that we shouldn’t have to fight?

Yay! I will keep my eye out for it
Brilliant!
Now what is the story with it moving elsewhere in the country? Do you know of any plans or any court cases in the way of it?
Not to my knowledge (which doesn't mean too much). But its on my list of things to find out
Wonderful!
Coming from Tasmania, I was very excited and happy about the day this happened.
Yes not often that Tasmania is considered to be a "progressive " state
Unfortunately, I have to agree with you on that one.
Congratulations. That's not a bad ad – simple, easy on the eyes. Of course, thin-skinned theists will be offended.
If memory serves me correctly the ad went through negotiations. You got to remember that in Tasmania it was illegal to be a homosexual until about 1997
Things have changed quite a bit in Tasmania, we aren't behind the times to much.
I'm tempted to take a trip to Tassie to see this. Well… Maybe that's a little over the top. But it would be exciting I think. I would be on the look out for peoples reactions. I am sure it will bring many cheers.
Actually Tassie's a great place to visit. You should go if you ever find the time and money
