Please Senator Conroy, when you haveĀ those who actually work on the frontline of child protection telling you that you have lost their support, it’s time to pack it in.

I'm highly incredulous to the claims of Save The Children. The lack of transparency combined with the rather optimistic claims by marketing, as well as my own knowledge of how to cook the books to back up such claims, leaves me doubting.
That and their censorship of Ken Loach who apparently found out some disturbing things about them while making a documentary. What precisely, I don't know. STC blocked its release in post-production.
At least with Union Aid Abroad, I can investigate the way things are being spent (and some infrastructure/organisational spending can improve children's welfare better than direct spending – the latter which is starting to piss off some welfare organisations in Africa.)
As much as I am opposed to the filter (and I am – a lot), my cynicism is showing on this one.
