Mercy Ministries of America, headed by Nancy Alcorn has contacted me confirming that Jay Hodge an ex-director on the board of Mercy Ministries Inc. is in no way affiliated with their organisation. Just an unfortunate similarity in name between the two entities.
Usually Christian organisations benefit from obscure or nonspecific christian terminology in this case in appears to have had a negative effect.

Did they ever contact you answering your questions about their abusive practices? Seems like they have selective hearing to me!
Strangely enough no
Wasn't Mercy Ministries found to have taken centrelink payments off the women while advertising a "free" program and at the same time fraudulently collecting donations all the while claiming their program was free and that they were qualified mental health professionals?
So what if they're not connected to the particular scandal with Mercy Ministries Inc. It seems they still committed fraud.
Izzy, you are correct in that they did appear to be taking Centrelink money while claiming that the service was free, fraud might be hard to prove. They were in my opinion being misleading, I don't believe criminal charges were laid.
Can you forward me that email? I think I may do a video on this.
In Australia Mercy Ministries is called 'Mercy Ministries Inc' and IS part of Mercy International…so are they saying that 'Mercy Ministries Inc' in the U.S isn't part of Mercy Ministries International and that there are 2 'Mercy Ministries Inc' and that only one of them is 'affiliated'?
I hate to use the word affiliated as Mercy like to make out that the different operations are all 'affiliations' when really they're all part of the same machine and do exactly as Nancy wishes.
I though the ACCC letter we received mentioned Mercy Ministries Inc in it somewhere. Will see if i can find it…
Ok… to quote the first paragraph of the ACCC joint letter of apology i received (undated):
“Between 1 January 2005 and 30 June 2008, each of the persons named below were directors or other office holders of Mercy Ministries Limited and/or Mercy Ministries Incorporated (jointly referred to as Mercy Ministries).”
Maybe there is (or was) an Australia Mercy name called Mercy Ministries Incorporated? Do we have companies here that end with Inc?
