The British Press are interested in anyone who may have had bad experiences at Mercy Ministries in the UK.
- Did you witness or partake in activities that made you feel uncomfortable, challenged your faith – but you decided to go along with it any way?
- Did you feel threatened or unsafe but decided to keep your concerns to yourself through fear of being ostracised, or kicked out of the program?
- Have you been threatened with hell and damnation if you speak out against Mercy?
- Do you want to help other survivors?
- Do you want to help Mercy become a better organization?
- Would you like tell you story anonymously?
Contacts in the British Press are willing to hear your story – no names, no photo’s, just your story and a chance to improve treatment at Mercy Ministries, to get them to review their program, to get them to use evidence based mental health treatment.
You can contact me here at sbwright [at] gmail.com and I will forward you the required details.

A big thankyou to the girls who have come forward
I was blasted by MMoA for posting my email response and have sense been receiving rhetoric from my folks about how 'one bad apple doesn’t spoil the bunch' and that 'those who were found out were weeded out'…Forgive me but that seems un-representative of what is really going on…Now I have shown them some of the links related to the reports sense it first broke a few years ago…First they wrote it off as propaganda, then they gave me the ‘bad apple’ response…I am worn to shreds from belligerent words hurled my way because of my self-injury and how ‘it offends them’ and they are ‘cut every time I do’…ok yea…I have grown weary of there responses and the way they silence me by saying that I need to not speak wrongly of a program that ‘clearly is lead of God’…If it was then why are there so many troubling reports coming out?…I’m off to slash open my skin again…
Unfortunately those are the replies of people who seem to only see in black and white. This was the same response when murmurs about abuses committed by the catholic church came out. First comes disbelief then comes, the bad apple. The thing is the bad apples at Mercy who were overzealous, weren't acting of their own accord they were following a program, a teaching that was provided by Mercy as a whole.
With Mercy I fear it is not a case of bad apples but a sick tree. No doubt there are Mercy staff doing a good job and providing love and care to those who need it, but to my mind there is still an aweful lot of pruning to do.
