Or rather retarded immature irrationalists who think it is funny to try and take down a YouTube account have managed to get the James Randi Educational Foundation YouTube account and the Rational Response Squad account suspended.
My question is this: Why do they bother? It doesn’t shut down groups permanently, it just pisses of channel owners and the YouTube staff who have to deal with the problem?

thunderf00t is spearheading the campaign against the ban, which means that it doesn't have a prayer of staying suspended. He's quite good at getting youtube to ninja away its mistakes, and he can draw quite a crowd. That said, I have to wonder both why youtube keeps swaying to the pressure of these flags, and why the religious are bothering with all those youtube flagging campaigns recently.

Youtube has always been politically correct as far as I know. It's sad.
I can understand that they have to limit their liability. In this case it appears there was a valid issue, but there are a number of issues where groups unhappy with freedom of speech have exploited the system. I would hope that there are penalties with filing false DCMA's and vote botting
