Research funding in Australia… a disgrace

While it is pretty much common knowledge that Australia punches above its weight in sporting endeavors, what does not seem to make the news is some of the cutting edge research we do…or rather would do if it were properly funded.

Listen to this excerpt from the Science Show on Radio National, it describes the deplorable state of research funding in Australia.
