Last year my wife quit her job as a Lawyer, taking time off to consider her options and explore her creative talents. She has been experimenting with water colours, having never painted with water colours before and after 3-4 sessions at a painting circle here are two of her efforts.

I like the first one a lot. Nice colors, and very pleasant. Congratulation to your wife!
I think that IRL the second one is better the scanning process lighten's the original too much. But yes on the blog the first does look good.

Oh, very nice! I'm not a great fan of watercolour, but these are rather good. I especially like the way the shadows in the first one give a sense of shape to the road and embankments. Will we be seeing more? ^^

She has done a couple from photo's I have taken, will be uploading them as soon as I can scan them in. I am not an artist, the closest I come is taking a well composed photograph every now and again^_^
