Yes, it’s happening here as well. While not as concerning as the huge decline in vaccination in the UK, the effects of the world Anti-vaccination campaign are being felt in selected population pockets in Australia. This death
is believed to be the first case of a baby dying from whooping cough in NSW since at least 2000, and nationally since 2004.[source]
So a big pat on the back for those campaigning for widespread rejection of lifesaving vaccines, it’s going to be fun if when we get an outbreak of polio isn’t it.

huh… wait until these anti-vac people see a case of small pox. They don't realize that the reason they live in a world where they have time to find imaginary causes of AUTISM is thanks to vaccines.
I did find it quite funny that Jenny McCarthy, poster girl for the Anit-vacc movement in the states as on the record as decrying the injection of toxins (in the form of vaccines). But quite okay with injectioning botox to look beautiful.
I wonder could we spread the rumor that Botox causes autism:) or perhaps stupidity
Meh. There are several things wrong with anti-vaxxers, one being that they don't recognize that autistic people are not the deficient/evil/cursed/whatever people they imagine. Many of us are gifted or just freekin smart out-of-the-box thinkers in general. Yes, it's difficult when we're kids and have to learn stuff harder than our NT peers, and it's hard knowing we'll never get accepted into society because we differ in the very basis of experience (sensory perception), but for fuck's sake, it's not measles or something! We can live with it! And pretty happily, if you ask me.
But yeah, causing preventable deaths and disastrous epidemics is a far more serious consequence of their delusion. They are causing as much of a problem as if they were a religion – and for precisely the same reasons.
