I'm with Poodles, seeing how Darwin died about 150 years ago, if he's wandering about the streets he must be a zombie. aim for the head indeed.

If I met Darwin on the road, the parsimonious explanation would be some form of delusion, deception or disorder in my own mind. I would first ring my friends. Awesome and rational as they are, they would recommend I consult a doctor.
Ok, so somehow I am sane and it really is Darwin. I show him Mendel and he’s really pissed off he didn’t come across him at the time. Then I show him the Internet and he masturbates for four solid days.
Darwin’s significance is in his total destruction of the teleological argument and design-based thought, the last half-decent excuse for theism. Before Darwin, design was a poor but plausible idea. Since ‘Origin’ we have no need for it and pushed god back past the first Planck time, and he’s still a rubbish story.
He also seems to have been a very decent chap, his personal journey from creationism to agnosticism and his very devout wife make his a fascinating biography and he had without doubt one of the most awesome beards in history.
I don’t recommend any kind of hero-worship, but I can’t think of many folk more deserving of a hat-tip after two hundred years!
