Going to church is worth risking the lives of others

In a story strangely reminiscent but not quite as bad as this, Emily Watkins of the Northern Territory  News reports that :

A MAN caught drink-driving on a Sunday morning after a night out told police he was driving because he needed to get to church later that morning.

The gentleman was fined $240 and no conviction was recorded – presumably because he had a good record.
He was also warned that if he were to be caught again, he would lose his licence.

The guy is 21 years old, adult enough to understand the consequences of his actions:

  1. Church is on every Sunday, usually at the same times
  2. He could have caught a Taxi, a bus?
  3. He knew ahead of time that church was on

I hope the man’s Pastor or Priest gives him a bollocking.  Its not worth risking the lives of others just so you can give praise to an imaginary being.

Selfish prick.
