It appears that the Australian Parliamentary website went down, yesterday from anywhere between 10-15 hours – no warning, no maintenance message. Balneus reports on it in two separate posts.

Who or what was responsible?
Balneus posits some possibilities, from cleaners tripping over the power cords to filter testing , to gross incompetence of Parliamentary IT staff.
It will be interesting to see if this gets any media coverage.

Wow, if thats even possible then they needs some moar security for their intarwebz.
Update here on continuing problems (errors and/or poor performance), with links to see for yourself and report on what you find. Now looking like senior parliamentary IT managers have stuffed up delivery of a new system and crashed the site.
