Australian Parliament Webserver Down

It appears that the Australian Parliamentary website went down, yesterday from anywhere between 10-15 hours – no warning, no maintenance message.  Balneus reports on it in two separate posts.

Who or what was responsible?

Balneus posits some possibilities, from cleaners tripping over the power cords to filter testing , to gross incompetence of Parliamentary IT staff.

It will be interesting to see if this gets any media coverage.
