In an interesting side note it appears that Nancy Alcorn President of Mercy Ministries contributed to the campaign of failed nominee Mike Huckabee. Now whether this was her own money I am not sure. As a private citizen I don’t have a problem with it.
If it’s on behalf of Mercy ministries it’s a bit odd and slightly sinister. Remember that Mercy in the US at least does not take any government funding. No government funding means no government oversight( or at least it used to, with faith initiatives it sounds like a free ride for the religious).
It seems odd also that a service such as Mercy could afford to donate even a small amount to a political party.
Would anyone think it odd the Salvation army contributing to Liberals in the next election?

In an interesting twist, Mike Huckabee was a running mate of Jim Bob Duggar (the husband of Mrs. Clown-Car-Vagina). The Duggars contributed to his run for president and support something very similar to Mercy Ministries over here.
Nice find, great job Sean!
