Some long time readers will remember that I do practice martial arts. Thanks to the wonders of Vegas video editing suite I am able to bring you a snippet of myself participating in the time honoured tradition of board breaking at my 2nd Dan Grading.
The boards are 19mm thick pine, I had to break 4 with both a leg and upper body technique.

Impressive.
woe betide any fundie that attacks Sean with a wooden cross LOL
Very impressive skills Sean, and I totally agree with oz-a, woe betide anyone with a ‘cross to bear’ hassling you!!
;-D
dude, that was awesome! Very cool…
WHOA!
How the hell do you do that without killing your back? There is NO WAY I could bow like that without having spasms.
But seriously, along the lines of what ozatheist said – I know so born-agains that I’d like you to meet. Maybe give them the chance for a 3rd birth.
Nice one Sean, keep up the good work
Clive
At what level do you begin taking down live trees?
Seriously, well done and impressive.
Very nice. But what did those poor trees ever do to you?
Its all in the technique really and getting over the metal block of there being 4 pine boards between you and your target.
Chappy,
As for live trees, not until I learn the chainsaw form/kata
Poodles,
I am pretty sure they are related to the one hat droped a branch on my car
John,
I was thinking about woo the other day as per your podcast and I don’t think anyone mentioned martial arts. It’s full of woo. Which is why I like numerounos approach – all reality based.
That seemed way to easy. What’s next, ice?
Sweet! Sean the Blogonaut, Master of Reason, Body of Steel!
we gonna have to start calling you Crocodile Sean??
Plonka,
In some respects it was easy. The guy who went before me was significantly heavier and had trouble breaking three. Its all in the mind
Anybody commenting here I could probably get to break 2 boards without too much training.
Now Ice, never broken ice before.
Trina,
I am looking at my little spare tire and body of steel is not coming to mind
Psychodiva,
That’s not a kick, this is a …
WOOOHOOOOO!!!!!!!!! You made that look incredibly easy and THAT’S the reflection of years of training and dedication.
Nicely done! Wish I’d known you had been doing that back in February, would have sent obviously unnecessary warm thoughts in your direction.
I loved the credits.
OG,
Playing aroud with Vegas movie studio, which reminds me I have to do my sisters weding video.
