New Atheist Social Networking Platform

athnex A new social networking site has launched called Atheist Nexus, like an Atheist facebook, but a little more focused.

From the About Us page:

Atheist Nexus – the name says it all. We go by many names – freethinkers, atheists, humanists, agnostics, non-theistics. While the specifics of these "titles" may reveal subtle differences in position, we all share a common desire to live free from the fallacies of religion. This site is about relationships with people of like-mind.

Here are a couple of definitions:

a·the·ist [áythee ist]
(plural a·the·ists)noun an unbeliever in God or deities: somebody who does not believe in God or deities

nex·us [néksÉ™ss]
(plural nex·us or nex·us·es)noun
1. connection: a connection or link associating two or more people or things
2. connected group: a group or series of connected people or things
3. center: the center or focus of something

There are quite a few social networking platforms out there that cater for freethinkers – why is Atheist|Nexus different? We are committed to being an active conduit for goodwill within our communities. We will offer scholarships to promote the study of science and other subjects. We will make endowments to causes we believe in. We will do good things and HAVE FUN AT IT!

The Atheist|Nexus Team

So if you are an Atheist check them out.  This site has grown from about 30 members to 800 in about 2 hours
