A drive by where she spouts pro Mercy crap and says she’s not coming back to read replies. Here is her comment from another thread
All current staff of Mercy Ministries are qualified in their area of work. Medical, Psychological, Councilor etc.
Are we talking about Mercy US or Australia? The counsellors we investigated in Australia hold no professional memberships and Mercy does not state their qualifications or display them – saying that someone is qualified does not make it so.
Im not here to preach, argue or anything of the sort, I am here just to shed some light on the situation. These accounts from past girls may have been from the past, but I know that all current staff have to be qualified to work there.
No your here to proclaim and argue from personal experience and knowledge but you bring no real evidence to the table. You repeat unsubstantiated claims.
The staff really care for these girls, otherwise they wouldn’t work there. Believe me, the staff don’t work there for the money! It is very sad to hear that these particular girls haven’t had a good experience there, but with a 93% success rate in a reform place like this, only the numbers can tell you of the work they do.
I am sure the staff do care. But as I have said before"the road to hell is paved with good intentions". I am sure that the staff there believe they are doing gods work. Your oft quoted but wholly unsupported 93% success rate is a myth.
Take a look at some other success percentages from other clinics etc that deal with drug addictions, abused girls, eating disorders to compare. You can not help 100% of the people unfortunately.
No you can’t help everyone but that’s what Mercy tries to do with a one size one bible fits all approach.
I wont be on this site again to read replies, as I am sure they are going to be as one sided as all previous ones, But I for one know that I have one friend that would be dead now if it wasn’t for her time at Mercy Ministries. I am definite that I am not alone also.
Yeah way to go dear, insult my readership. They are thick skinned though so I think they’ll be able to take it (if not I know some good non-religious counsellors). I am glad that your friend survived – it would have been nice if you expanded on why she was there so we could evaluate you claim. I am sure Mercy has saved some people and that some people are quite happy with the rigid reprogramming they perform but I know they have done serious damage to some as well – my fear is that some one may have gone on to suicide as a result of Mercy.
Thank you for reading my post, and I hope that it can in some way help to give you a different perspective on the few negatives that have come from Mercy Ministries.
Thank you for doing a drive by. The readers of my blog who you hold in great disdain are intelligent people if you had provided evidence I am sure they would have considered it. Unfortunately for you, I fear they may just see you as another Nancy drone with her head stuck up her proverbial.
Oh and you’ll be back.

1) The staff who treated me at mercy were not qualified to be treating me.
2) 93% success rate??!! bullocks!!
More than half the girls in the program when I was there were kicked out or left. This ‘more than half’ has been said to be across the board, with many of girls citing mistreatment by mercy and unqualified staff as the reasons they left. (Mercy also can’t seem to pick a % and stick with it, they can’t seem to keep track of their own lies, has anyone else noticed this?)
3) A ‘few’ negative experiences? When tens of girls come forward, from more than one country, I don’t see how you can call that a few.
4) It is well known that mercy staff and their families have been making pro mercy posts, spouting more misinformation about the program. Probably the most ignorant and sad thing of all is that they think people might be so stupid as to believe them when the evidence shows otherwise.
They keep saying how great they are, we still haven’t seen any proof. Quite the opposite, as more and more of your visitors (like ‘i was at mercy’) can ascertain to.
So they’re qualified, are they? Ok, then let’s see their qualifications.
93% success? Originally they were saying 95%, but then they revised it to 9O%. So which is it? And why was MM’s record keeping so unprofessional as to result in these variations? And for that matter, how does MM define success? By whether or not a person is still throwing $$$ into the Hillsong coffers?
Don’t pretend you’re not going to be reading this anonymous: if you really don’t cruise by to enjoy that pious tingle you get down the back of your neck when ‘unbelievers are persecuting you’ it’s only because you checked that little box which sends follow-up comments to your email.
Here’s a challenge for you anonymous: you profess to be a Christian – why don’t you start proving it by trying to show you’re thinking honestly about what’s happened at MM, and by showing some compassion and empathy for those whom your church has clearly hurt? Or if that’s too hard, how about by just listening to the people who’ve been stamped on by those your trying to defend?
Ha-ha, Sean, YOU ARE RIGHT, AGAIN!!
Let me “profess” to the “anonymous”
commentor that will not cop to their identity and seems to think YOU & “we” don’t know what we’re talking about. Therefore: Madam
“Anonymous” I AM a “Christian”, Sean will TELL you that, he KNOWS it. But he & I will also tell you
I won’t go spouting off what I believe & shoving it down anyone else’s throat. And I would NEVER, EVER, claim to be able to “cure”/”heal”/”facilitate” someone’s “recovery” from addiction/mental illness by suggesting/leading/forcing them to
Christ. I wouldn’t do it even if I were a LICENSED mental health care professional. Which I’m not, and I KNOW IT. But I have had my struggles the last 2 yrs., and I know a “rat”/bogus deal when I see
one, and “Mercy” is the antithesis of it’s name.
Yeah, Sean can “take it”, and you’re making a BIG mistake if you
“pick” on him, because you’re losing out on having an intelligent
friend. Even the best of friends don’t agree on EVERYTHING.
If YOU got “help” @ Mercy, then I’d
garner you’d be one of a lucky minority. It could be due to alot of things- maybe the “timing” was just right in YOUR life for you to be receptive to one or several “dangling particples” of real truth that someone said. Maybe you lucked out and got one of the few(?) really good professionals.
But, I can tell ya one thing- Sean is “right”- those of us whom know him will take up for him and contrary to what you may be tempted to think, most of us are not stupid &/or “uninformed”. About alot of stuff. I think you need to go back & read his personal
info on the front page & read what he says about not necessarily believeing what “we” do, but he has
respect for an individual.
