Who is that masked man?
An Atheist among other things, this blog is my little bit of sanity, I will regale you with excerpts from my life and criticisms of religion.
I am not an anti-theist but I will call a spade a spade. I respect the person not necessarily their beliefs and like Phillip Adams I don’t let such a small thing (religion) get in the way of good friendship.
What is this blog about?
To answer that, a bit of a history lesson is in order. This blog started out as a personal blog where I posted a bit about my life and my travels around Australia. Then over time it has moved more towards writing on my Atheism, atheism in general this year 2008 has really seen it move towards a social comment blog with specific emphasis on the scourge of fundamentalist christianity.

The culture of the amateur is rife among modern bloggers, where fact becomes factual-ish, opinion is spouted as scientific theory, and the statistics are tortured until they produce the desired results. ‘The Blogonaut’ however, does put time into his journalistic research, and draws a clear line between his reporting and editorial comments. Agree with him or not, his arguments are well structured and he stays focused on his discussions. This blog lifts the bar of the amateur culture.
I like the fact that you’re exposing a group of charlatans- morons like that turn people off to
Christians and make alot of people
think we’re ALL like that. Which
isn’t true. ALOT of us are “tolerant”/middle of the road.
And I like the fact that while we
may not agree on “religion” or the
lack of it/purpose thereof, you RESPECT eveyone (until they prove themselves to be an IDIOT!) and never try to “convert” anyone.
Oh, and “Plots” and STAMP RANT!!!!

I went for a jog in my Dawkins tee the other day–happy to report no one threw any rocks at my head………Then again, they probably had no idea what the BIG A stood for………….
