I mentioned in an earlier post about my intention to carry out an experiment of sorts. I want to be a bit more open about my atheism and to see what peoples reactions to it are. So I bought two items from Cafe press. A cap and shirt with the logo “Godless” in nice bold letters on them.
Now you may say that it’s hardly going out on a limb and for sure there were other more in your face logo’s and slogans like – “Jesus is coming, are you swallowing that?” but I wanted to cause interest and not a lynching.
I am also concerned that as being openly atheist I should behave in an appropriate manner. So while the “Jesus is coming” shirt was quite funny it was outwardly offense and direct at the reader. The “Godless” shirt is a statement about me.
I have worn the hat everyday for the last 3 days with only my parents noticing. Today will be the day I wear the shirt for the first time.
