I had the chance to watch Godless in America, a Danish documentary on the life and death of Madalyn Murray O’Hair. It was a little week – too light on her life and work as an atheist and too heavy on her death and the strange events surrounding it.
It made her out to be more of a joke, an eccentric figure and perhaps she was a bit loopy, but hey this is America and sometimes you have got to fight loopiness with loopiness if you want to get heard. I am thinking of Mike Moore here.

Madaln Murray O'Hair was a brave woman. She tore down a lot of walls for us. To bad she died such a tragic death. I agree much is known about her death and little known about her life and work. I certainly would not call her loopy.
